Here's my favorite corny 4th of July joke:
Q: Do they have the 4th of July in England?
(most people say no. Once I asked a high school history teacher this, and she went on and on about our country's independence from Britain)
A: Then what do they put between the 3rd and 5th of July?
Told you it was corny!
Now for what's new this week!
New fabrics this week
include Shirtings charm squares from Terry Clothier Thompson. We have 73 bolts of shirtings and these charm squares - this is a great time to be adding shirtings to your collections!
We were able to get some Moda Soriee honey buns, the same ones Bunny Hill Designs used on her Carry Me Bag pattern cover.
Some fun kids prints too - love the polka dots!
Our favorite notions rep was in last week, so we had to load up on new patterns and books
It still amazes me all the new books and patterns that come out.
We have some great bag patterns - don't you just love the yo-yo bags from Atkinson Designs?!
Doggie lovers will have to check out Best of Show and the zipper critters. One realistic and one oh-so funky!
There are some great ideas for gifts here too - My Other Kitchen has multiple ideas in one pattern and the laptop carrier would be a great gift.
Thought I would give you a little peek at the Cool Jewel Batik fabrics for our July Strip Club
You'll have to wait until Saturday, July 18 to see what I make with them, but sign up before the 18th and your strip club bundle is only $30!
After the free lecture/demo presentation, there is a free Stay and Sew class where you can dig right in and get started on your project - fun!
Have your tried Sewline Pencils yet?
These marking pencils have a ceramic lead that writes smooth on fabric, then can be erased or removed with water. The lead is very hard and does not break, and the pencil works like a mechanical pencil so the point is always sharp. Each pencil comes with a refill pack and there are 5 colors. We love them!
