Maker's Day 2019

Gift giving time is around the corner again and I have some quick-to-make homemade gifts to share with you.

Check your list of friends, teachers, club members, possible hostess gifts and those little gifts you put aside for just in case situations.

Join me to make seven different gift holders and gifts that you can quickly finish before the holidays.

We will make a Fabric Box that you can fill with some treats for a friend.

You will choose from various sizes of Drawstring Bags to make for a gift holder or just as a gift. One of these bags can be used to hold those plastic bags you get when you go shopping, another bag is lined and holds a bottle of wine or special drink. You can also choose to make a lined drawstring bag to hold a special quilted project for a special person. During class, I will show you different ways to box your corners and different ways to make casings for your bags.

We are also going to make Lanyard to hold an ID badge and or a set of keys.

Do you know someone who keeps misplacing their ear buds? Well, you will make a Key Holder with a Small Pouch attached. If ear buds are not a problem, the pouch can be used to carry a chap stick.

Do you have any friends on your list that like to travel? Well, we will be making a. Luggage Tag to help in identifying their bag on the baggage belt.

Oh! There is one more quick thing that will be helpful for those friends or family members that have trouble opening a jar. Yes, you will be making a helpful hand, a Jar Opener.
And finally, we can’t forget to make a Santa Decoration which can be used for putting on top of a bottle, a holder for your napkins or an ornament for the tree.

In class, we will make one of each of the gifts.

Join me for some fun making these simple but practical gifts.
