Quilted Sneakers Class

Class Format
This class is held over two sessions:

Session 1: Saturday, January 24th | 1:00–3:00 PM
Focused on fabric selection, quilting, cutting, and prepping all shoe components -
Session 2: Saturday, January 31st | 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
Dedicated to construction, assembly, and sewing the shoes together
An optional online follow up session will take place about one month after the class for additional questions or troubleshooting.

Attaching the shoe upper to the sole
Skill Level
Beginner friendly. No prior shoe making experience required.
Supplies

Provided by shop: complete sneaker kit (including soles, tools, and supplies), written basic pattern, and in person instruction with Madison

Students should bring: 3–4 coordinating fat quarters of their choice and basic sewing supplies
A full supply list will be provided ahead of class. Any additional supplies needed will be available for purchase at the shop or through the online store.
Machine Notes
No special machine is required. A zipper foot is recommended but not required.
End Result
By the end of session two, students should leave with a completed or nearly completed pair of custom quilted sneakers.
Additional Options
This class will also be offered in an online format for students who are not local to Cotton Patch Quilt Shop.

| Instructor Bio: | Meet Madison Madison is energetic, thoughtful, and extremely kind, and her love for quilting shines through in everything she does. She began quilting in 2020 during the pandemic, and her quilting journey is one she loves to share. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into a passion and a deep connection to the quilting community. Madison is a true do-it-all maker who especially loves bags and bold, fun quilting projects. She is well known for her By Annie bag making skills, but what students remember most is her infectiously happy personality and the care she brings to every class. A proud cat lover, Swiftie, and serious notion fan, her favorite tools include Wonder Clips, Sewline Air Erase pens, a zipper jig, and her trusty Sewline Glue Pen. Madison’s connection to Cotton Patch Quilt Shop began as a customer and grew into a lasting relationship. Whether teaching in person or online, she brings encouragement, patience, and joy to every classroom, reminding students that perfection is not the goal, progress is. |
